What are the best free iPad weather apps that are actually accurate and aren't too bloated with ads?

I think the best free weather app is the All-in-one Weather app. It's very similar to the paid Weather HD app. It's displays a 5-day forecast as well as the time and date on top of your choice of 14 nice backgrounds. If you have multiple locations saved, you just swipe to the left to scroll through the weather in another city. There's an alarm clock, a light adjustment, and ability to play music from your iTunes and switch between 12/24 hour clock. There is just one ad at the bottom but disappears in landscape mode. Overall, this is the best free weather app I've used because it delivers the best combo of features, design, and accuracy.

I've tried all the free weather apps and settled with AccuWeather and I definitely think it's the best for several reasons: First off, it's super accurate (as the name implies), secondly it's worldwide, and third, it gives you a fifteen day weather forecast. No other free weather app does that. The design is clean, uncluttered, and the ad at the bottom automatically collapses after a second or two. Nice!

FYI, avoid WeatherBug, it's full of ads and they're notorious for being spyware/scammers.

For the most accurate, up-to-date weather in a free weather app that has all the bells and whistles, the The Weather Channel Max for iPad is your best bet. The app auto-detects your location at launch and provides local weather and severe weather alerts in one tap. See if rain is on the way by watching the live graphical radar map, watch weather videos, or even access Twitter feeds of the TV hosts. If you don't mind a few ads here and there, this app should have everything you need.

It won't be around for much longer, but the Real Weather Girls app transforms boring weather facts into something fun and sexy. Aspiring models from 11 cities around the world from London to Chicago bring you the weather daily, plus take you around their city (sometimes in bikinis, need I say more?). Originally created for the iPhone, and now available on the iPad in all it's full-screen glory, this app is what the media is calling the first 'reality cell phone' show. See for yourself, best of all, it's free!

Update: Sadly Real Weather Girls will be cancelled after Dec 11, 2010

Weather Radar is a great app for anyone looking for the best weather radars. The live radar is really well done compared to other radars I've seen and the weather is highly accurate as well. There's 1 ad on the bottom which you can remove with the paid version of the app.

It's raining outside right now and of all the free weather apps I have, this app got it right: Weather Right Now. Sure, it may not the prettiest or feature-rich weather app by far, but it actually works for what it's says it does: tells me the weather right now. WeatherStation Free said there was a thunderstorm, Weather & Clock Station HD Free and Nightstand said it was cloudy. Go figure!

Easy-Weather works for me, it's simple, accurate, and ad-free (unlike the other weather apps). The app is just 1 page, which gives you the current weather conditions plus the 5-day forecast in a cute cartoony design.

MyRadar is hands down, the best weather app on the iTunes store. It's the most useful app for tracking local weather conditions. The real time animated weather radar lets you quickly see what weather is coming your way, and how fast. I use it several times a day.The graphics are pleasant and the pan/zoom functions are very fast. A perfect weather radar app, and free too! If you use it a lot, there's a Pro version you can upgrade to.

Weather Compass is a quirky weather app which lets you compare the weather in surrounding cities. So say if its raining in your town, you can use this app to see if it's not raining somewhere else nearby.
