My favorite ipad game is Angry Birds HD. It's one of the most fun games I've played. Some levels are hard but not impossible to complete. Others are easy but not too easy. When you finish one level, you're excited to see what's in store on the next one. It's a combo of beautiful graphics, great game physics and strategy, with wonderful action and sound. Whether you're a gamer or not, you'll enjoy this app. It's very entertaining with many levels to keep things fun for a long time.

Obviously no game collection would be complete without Scrabble! And the board is just the perfect size for the iPad. It's design mimics the classic board game with realistic-looking wooden tiles. Playing the game is super easy by sliding tiles around on screen, while keeping the score in view so you can always keep one eye on it.

Padracer is one of the most innovative iPad games of 2010: it's a racing game where 2 or more players race together on the iPad using their iPhone or iPod Touch as the steering wheel. It's just like the old Sprint arcade racing game from the 80s. Once you buy the app, you can install it on up to 5 devices without any extra charge, so choose your friends wisely!

The best game I've played lately is AirAttack. The game is fast-paced birds-eye-view shooter with lots of enemies, plenty of power-ups, and a few different control schemes (tilt, joypad, and relative-touch control) to suit your tastes. AirAttack's graphics really come to life on the big ipad screen. The one drawback of this game is that it's relatively short, but it's worth the buck I paid.

Civilization Revolution is my favorite ipad game ever! As someone who has been playing Civilization since it was on DOS, this is the best of all the versions. I love exploring new worlds and trying different leaders and strategies. The streamlined nature of Civilization Revolution means that I can get more games in than with the desktop version. I do set the rate of technology to its slowest setting, however, otherwise the game moves too fast, winning new techs before you've had a chance to build a unit with the last tech.

Fieldrunners was my favorite game on the iPhone and is still on my top list for the iPad. The extra screen real estate on the iPad makes it easy to drop cannons and shoot advancing armies. If you like tower defense, this is the game for you, especially if you like a good challenge and the ability to have an endless game to see how far you can get. Good luck!

If you like the classic board game Risk you'll love Dominion HD. It's a very well executed game and is great for anyone looking for some strategy gameplay on the iPad. It moves at the pace you want it to and is very customizable. $5 is a very fair price for an app of this quality.

My kids' favorite game to play on their ipad is Fruit Ninja. Fruit flies up in the air and you use your finger to slice the fruit in half. As the game speeds up, you have to slash more and more fruit. They just came out with an arcade mode so 2 players can play on opposite sides. It keeps my kids entertained for hours!

I love Plants vs. Zombies. It's the perfect game for the ipad, but beware--it's incredibly addictive. Get both hands multitasking and you'll be slaughtering zombies well into the night. The graphics are awesome and the game is endless fun. A must have app!
